Big time college basketball in America's Finest City.
The 1st annual San Diego SLAM presented by PerfectWave Technologies is a two-day event, highlighted by back-to-back NCAA Men's Basketball games at Cox arena on the campus of San Diego State University.
San Diego SLAM is pleased to include the following teams as part of the 2004 lineup:
- California Golden Bears
- San Diego State University Aztecs
- University of San Diego Toreros
- University of Southern California Trojans
Beginning on Friday, December 10th, the community of San Diego will welcome participating teams to the Sony SLAMJAM. This unique event will feature San Diego cuisine, player and coach introductions, team contests and live entertainment to get the weekend started!
On Game Day, alumni, fans and friends will arrive early to Cox Arena where SLAMFEST presented by Roth Capital Partners will be rock'n and roll'n two hours prior to tip-off. There will be food, fun, music and interactive games for everyone in the family to enjoy. It may not be football season, but this "tailgate party" will be one basketball fans will not want to miss.
Following the pre-game hype and enthusiasm, two great college basketball games will take place in Cox Arena. At 5:00 PM PST, game one will feature the Trojans from USC and one of our local favorites, the Toreros of USD.
Immediately following game one, the California Golden Bears will compete against our host, the San Diego State Aztecs.
