San Diego and Foot Locker continued their partnership with the 2004 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships at Morley Field in historic Balboa Park.
This event represents the only national championships of its kind for high school student athletes. Aislinn Ryan (pictured below) of Warwick High School from Bellvale, NY took home the gold in the 5k with a time of 17:31. Hailing out of Douglas, AZ, Kenneth Cormier of Douglas High School came in first with a blistering time of 15:22 in the 5k.
The San Diego International Sports Council would also like to recognize AJ Acosta of Oceanside and Riley Booker from San Diego who qualified for the Boys race. Congratulations on being two of the fastest high school cross country athletes in the country!
San Diego, in December, will play host to the 2005 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships. We will update this page when more information becomes available.
